Powerhouses Emmaus, Lehighton remain on playoff crash course in Pennsylvania

Unbeaten Emmaus slipped past Pennsbury, 2-1, in a first-round PIAA Class 2A field hockey playoff opener Tuesday at Whitehall (Pa.) High School. Lehighton star Abby Frey made the pass that led to the game's only goal in a 1-0 overtime victory over Lancaster Mennonite in the early game of the playoff doubleheader. lehighton is AA, and Emmaus is AAA, they are not on a crash course because there not on the same course. Duh.
